Yihao Zhou is currently a Postdoc in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. His research focuses on soft magnetoelastic bioelectronics for personalized healthcare. With a h-index 51, Yihao has already published 95 journal articles and 23 of them are the first author in Nature Materials (2), Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Science Advances(2). At his leisure, he likes playing football, watching movies, and reading history.

Guorui Chen is currently a Postdoc in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering . His research focuses on leveraging bioelectronics and artificial intelligence for healthcare. With a h-index 45, Guorui has already published 70 journal articles and 23 of them are the first author in Nature Electronics (2), Nature Biotechnology, Nature Chemical Engineering, Nature Cardiovascular Research, Chemical Reviews (2). At his leisure, he likes playing football, watching movies, and reading history.

Hyun Soo Kim is currently a postdoc in UCLA Department of Bioengineering. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Inha University and previously worked at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology. His research focuses on self-powered bioelectronics. He has published 32 peer-reviewed journal articles, including as first authors in Energy & Environmental Science and Advanced Materials.

Sumin Cho is currently a postdoc in UCLA Department of Bioengineering. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea. His research focuses on designing self-powered and self-sustainable electronic systems. Sumin has published 52 journal articles, with 16 of them being the first author in Materials Today (1), InfoMat (1), Nano Energy (5), Chemical Engineering Journal (1), et al. At his leisure, he likes reading self-improvement books, working out, and photography.

Ganghao Liang is currently a postdoc researcher since 2025 in UCLA Department of Bioengineering. His current research focuses on soft bioelectronics for tumor theranostics. Ganghao has already published 20 journal articles with 4 of them being the first authors in Angewandte Chemie International Edition, ACS Nano, Biomaterials (2). At his leisure, he likes swimming, eating, and reading.

Jing Xu is currently a Ph.D. student since 2021 in UCLA Department of Bioengineering. Her current research focuses on wearable biosensors and bioelectronics. She has already published 45 journal articles with 17 of them being the first authors in Nature Electronics (2), Matter, Advanced Materials, Nano Energy, ACS Nano, Applied Physics Review, et al. In her spare time, she likes music and traveling.

Xiao Wan is currently a Ph.D. student since 2022 the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. His current research thrust includes developing soft bioelectronics for healthcare. Xiao has already published 4 research articles with 2 of them being the first authors in Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Advanced Functional Materials, Nano Energy. At his leisure, he likes traveling and reading books.

Yang Luo is currently a Ph.D. student since 2024 in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. His research focuses on soft intelligent matter and biointegrated systems. Yang has authored 11 peer-reviewed publications with 8 first-author papers in Nature Communications, Science Advances, ACS Nano, etc. Beyond research, he has demonstrated leadership through organizing interdisciplinary seminars as an IEEE student chapter chair. In his leisure time, he likes working out and play tennis.

Zhaoqi Duan is currently a Ph.D. student since 2024 in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. His current research focuses on soft bioelectronics and wearable biosensors for personalized health. Zhaoqi has published 9 Journal articles with 2 of them being the first author in Nature Materials, etc. In his spare time, he like listening to music and writing poems.

Songyue Chen is currently a Ph.D. student science 2024 in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering . His current research focuses on the development of soft bioelectronics for healthcare applications. He has published 3 research articles, with 4 of them being the first author in Nature Nanotechnology, Biomaterials Research, Matter. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and engaging in water-related sports.

Xiujun Fan is currently a Ph.D. student since 2024 in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. Her current research focuses on soft bioelectronics and wearable biosensors for personalized healthcare. Xiujun has already published 3 journal article as the first author in PNAS, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, etc. In her leisure time, Xiujun enjoys reading and playing Guqin.

Yizhuo Xu is currently a Ph.D. student since 2025 in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. His current research focuses on soft bioelectronics and wearable biosensors for personalized health. Yizhuo has published 18 Journal articles with 5 of them being the first author in Advanced Functional Materials, npj Flexible Electronics, etc. In his spare time, he likes listening to music and playing sports.

Xiaodong Li is currently a Ph.D. student since 2025 in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. His research focuses on soft materials and bioelectronics. He has published 8 research articles, including 5 as first author in IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, etc. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and playing soccer.

Rui Guo is currently a Ph.D. student since 2025 in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. His current research focuses on the development of soft bioelectronics for healthcare applications. Rui has published 7 research articles, with 4 of them as the first author, including publications in Science Bulletin and Chemical Engineering Journal, et al. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, running, and playing basketball.

Xinkai Xu is currently a Ph.D. student since 2025 in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. His current research focuses on soft bioelectronics for healthcare. Xinkai has published 14 journal articles, with 5 of them being the first author in Nature Sensors, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Science, Acta Mechanica Sinica, etc. In his spare time, he likes playing the violin and the bamboo flute.

Yunsong Liu is currently a Ph.D. student since 2026 in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. He obtained his M.S. in Imperial College London with full scholarship. His current research focuses on the development of soft bioelectronics for personalized healthcare. Yunsong has published 4 research articles and holds 2 patents in these fields. In his spare time, he enjoys playing badminton and playing the piano.

Julian Liu is currently an MS student in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research focuses on the development of novel materials for biological sensing and actuation. Previously, he obtained a BS in Physics from MIT. In his free time, he enjoys solving crosswords, experimenting with new recipes, and attending live music performances throughout Los Angeles.

Francisco Downey is currently a master student in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research interests focus on wearable bioelectronics for continuous biomonitoring to enable early disease detection of clinical diseases and health management. Outside of research, he enjoys reading, 3D printing, and watching sports.

Binghang Liu is currently a master’s student since 2025 in the UCLA Department of Bioengineering. His current research interest includes developing soft bioelectronics for Parkinson's disease diagnosis. His previous research experience has involved projects related to central nervous system repair and neurodegenerative diseases. Outside the lab, he enjoys swimming and hiking.

Ziheng Li is currently a master’s student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. He obtained his B.E. in Electronic Information Science and Technology from Tsinghua University. His research interests include machine learning and signal processing. In his free time, he likes watching movies and listening to music.

Xiaofang Ke is currently a master’s student in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research interests include wearable and implantable bioelectronics, and their applications in health monitoring, disease diagnosis, and therapeutics. She enjoys exploring natural landscapes, watching movies, and spending time with her cats.

Tongyan Zhou is currently a master’s student in Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. His current research interests include wearable bioelectronics, skin-conformal magnetoelastic patches, self-powered biomechanical sensing, and signal analysis for at-home health monitoring. He is interested in developing bioelectronic devices and embedded systems for personalized and accessible healthcare.

Hanlu Yao is currently a master student since 2025 in the Department of Bioengineering at at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her scholarly interests lie at the intersection of soft bioelectronics with a particular emphasis on advancing personalized healthcare solutions. Beyond her academic endeavors, she finds great delight in athletic and artistic pursuits, including badminton, tennis, and figure skating.
